Grishko's 'Elevé' model Pointe Shoes (2007, Elite, Maya, Ulanova-I, Ulanova-II) are designed for 'rolling through' demi-pointe. This is considered vital to lyrical adagios and enables control as you land a jump or pirouette. All Elevé models are quiet, light, and feature Grishko's 'super shank', which is pliable, resilient, and durable. Grishko's 'Relevé' model Pointe Shoes (Fouette, Vaganova) are designed to accommodate the Russian technique of 'springing' onto pointe, which develops a more elastic foot and teaches the concentration of balance of the body on one spot.
