We include everything you need to make your own professional-quality, performance-ready Romantic tutu.

Although our kits and instructions are designed to help you produce a high-quality costume, we recommend you have at least intermediate to advanced sewing skills. Even so, a tutu is not an overnight project - plan to spend 8 to 12 hours to create an undecorated Romantic tutu.

And when it's time to decorate or customize your creation, don't forget we carry a wide array of rhinestones, lace, and trims, as well as many additional fabric colors.

We also suggest you purchase a copy of "Finishing Touches: The Art of Embellishment", found in our Books and Patterns section. This beautiful, full-color book will help you make the most of your customizing options, including overlays and plates, sleeves, headpieces, wings, and more.

When created with the use of bodice overlays, a simple, plain Romantic tutu can be used for a variety of roles.

Our standard 'Basic' Romantic Tutu Kits are available in 2 styles:

• The skirt for a Classic Romantic Tutu hangs from the dancer's waist.
• A Neo-Romantic Tutu includes a short basque, so the skirt hangs from the dancer's hip.

Our standard kits provide enough fabric for a 4-layer skirt, but can optionally be ordered with enough fabric to create a 6-layer skirt. All the materials provided are first-quality.

Each kit includes full instructions and all materials for one (1) tutu:

• Fully illustrated instruction book ("The Romantic Tutu Book", by Claudia R. Folts)
• 8-Piece Bodice pattern (Item #PTCF102-N)
• 12 yards of Domestic (US) nylon tulle (enough to create up to a 26-inch skirt if cutting directions are correctly followed)
• All bodice and lining fabric
• Rigelene boning for the bodice
• Cording for the bodice edges
• Elastic
• Your choice of individual steel hooks and eyes, or hook & eye tape (w/double eyes)

Classic Romantic Tutu Kit
Does not use a Basque, so the skirt hangs from the waist.
