Exchanges and Returns
for Tutu.Com and Get The Pointe Dancewear



Before you place an order with us
please be sure you read and understand our
Terms and Conditions regarding Exchanges and Returns.


First, the following items are Not Returnable under any circumstances - No Exceptions:

  • Men's tights, leotards, unitards, dance-belts, dance-shorts, or other under-garments
  • Women's bra-tops, trunks, thongs, body-liners, or other under-garments
  • Any custom-dyed item, including dancewear, shoes, fabric, piece-goods, etc.
  • Books, patterns, videos, CDs
  • Cut fabric and other piece-goods (elastic, binding, etc)
  • Custom-dyed fabric and other piece-goods (elastic, binding, etc)
  • Chemicals or glues, whether spray, bottle, or tube (Lacquer Sizing, Gem-Tac, etc)
  • Rhinestones, rhinestone settings (findings), rhinestone strands, glues
  • Any 'Close-Out' or 'Special-Sale' items
  • Any 'Special-Order' item – these are items, colors, sizes, brands, or models that we do not stock, and that were specially-ordered just for you from the manufacturer
  • Any Custom and/or 'made-to-order' item (tutus, bodices, jackets, headpieces, etc.)
    these items are created from measurements you provided and/or other requirements you may have specified
  • Any other item listed as 'not-returnable' or 'not eligible for return or exchange'

For All Other Items, we will accept returns for exchange, refund, or credit under the following terms and conditions only:

  • Items must be returned in the original packaging, with all manufacturer's tags attached
  • Items must be in re-saleable condition, cannot be soiled, worn, or damaged in any way
  • Return shipping must be prepaid, we do not accept returns sent COD
  • Your return shipping charges (to us) will not be refunded or credited
  • The original shipping charges (to you) will not be refunded or credited
  • You MUST include a note indicating the reason for the return
  • You MUST include a copy of your original invoice
  • We highly suggest you ship returns with tracking information and/or delivery confirmation - we are not responsible for items lost or mis-delivered by the shipper.

Returns for Refund or Credit:

  • For refund, items must be received by us within 30 days of the date on your invoice
  • All returns within 30 days are subject to a 10% restocking fee
  • After 30 days, we will issue 'House-Credit' only, to be used against future purchases
    ('House-Credit' must be used within 12 months of the date issued)
  • All returns after 30 days are subject to a 20% restocking fee

Returns for Exchange:

  • Items must be received by us within 30 days of the date on your invoice
  • All items returned for exchange after 30 days are subject to a 20% restocking fee
  • Return shipping (to you) for the replacement item will be charged based on our standard shipping rates

Pointe Shoes and Ballet Shoes - special notes:

  • Cannot have had the elastics or ribbons sewn-in or otherwise attached
  • Cannot be soiled or worn in any way
  • Cannot have had any 'hardener' applied
  • Cannot have been 'broken-in' or otherwise modified in any way
  • Cannot be a size, model, or brand that was 'Special-Ordered' for you

For Pointe Shoes in particular:

  • Unfortunately, no 2 pairs of pointe shoes are made identical, so:
  • Your new pair may not fit exactly the same as your last pair
    - try them on carefully before dancing in them!
  • Your new pair may not last exactly as long as your last pair
    - this does NOT mean they are defective!
    (of course, they could also last longer...)

We do not make exchanges, or issue credits or refunds, until we have received the return merchandise and determined that it meets the above conditions.

If you are exchanging an item and need the replacement right away, the replacement item must be paid-for before we can ship it to you.

All returned items that do not meet the above conditions will be donated to charity or otherwise disposed of - NO refund or credit will be issued.
