Couldn't make it to TutuSchool this year? In this very special edition of Let's Talk Tutus, you will be joining us LIVE at TutuSchool, here in Charlotte, NC. You will get to see participants who are here in person and the projects they are working on in real time. You will also be choosing a project to do with the class:

1. Basque Patterning - Join Tutu.Com Creative Director, Claudia Folts and her TutuSchool class to make a tutu basque pattern using measurements that will fit perfectly. If choosing this option, you will receive, in the mail, a kit ($38 value) with instructions, pattern ease patterning material, a tenths ruler, and a list of the other items you will need (pencil, tape, scissors, a calculator/phone on which to do the math involved). You will actually participate along with the class and learn how to make a pattern from measurements. The basque pattern is the most important part of a tutu!  After the patterning part of the class, there will be a question and answer period in which you will be able to ask Claudia questions about tutumaking and she will show you some examples of our work.
2. Tiara Class Demo - Here you will see students working at various levels (we offer 4 levels of tiara training). Master teacher and designer, Catherine Zehr will show you various examples of her work, and will be teaching students to manipulate millinery wire, set and string rose montees, etc. This is a lecture seminar-style class. There will be students here at all levels. It will be a great introduction to tiara making and the amazing things you can make with just a little knowledge and practice. We will also show you the tools we use as well as various kits with instructions, and will send you a special 25% off discount code which will be good on tiara kit and rhinestone purchases. There will be a Question and Answer period after the demonstration.
   
3. The Business of the Costuming Business Seminar: Join us for a special 1.5 hour group talk on anything and everything pertaining to ballet costuming: setting up your business, dealing with difficult clients, specific sewing techniques pertaining to ballet costuming, pricing your work, how to shop/find our products on the Tutu.com website, as well as doing searches for things you want that are hard to find. The best part about a group meeting is the fact that everyone brings something special to the table - we will learn from each other, which is the best way to keep our specialty type of costuming alive.Please write in the Special Instructions at check out what you want to talk about and the best way to get in touch with you - phone and/or email and include the phone and email in the note. Be sure to give us contact information that you check and use, not ones you give out for spam.

SHIPPING COSTS

Tutu.Com offers free, domestic ground shipping to the 48 contiguous United States, up to $20, on orders costing $149 and up. This free option covers about 85% of orders. For very heavy orders that cost $149 or more, the first $20 of your shipping will be free. We will invoice you for any shipping amount over $20. Once shipping is paid, your order will go out. Our minimum domestic shipping charge for orders under $149 is $14.95 for Ground, and $37 for 1 to 3 day Express/Expedited, depending on where you are in the US. Free shipping option is not available for Express/Expedited shipping. Base International shipping charges are Canada: $42.00 USD. All other countries: $70.00 USD. If your base-rate/minimum shipping charge does not cover the cost to ship your order, we will bill additional shipping charges when your order is ready to ship.

We have several base rates for classical tutus that must be shipped in over-sized boxes. Actual costs can run between $40-$70 in the continental U.S., more in some places. We will always research what is the least expensive way to safely ship your items. We will also insure costumes for their full value. This will add to the cost, but not too much. All custom costumes are shipped with signature required when delivered. This is for your protection.

TRACKING & INSURANCE

Unless otherwise requested, orders shipped within the US, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and most US Territories and Military addresses, are sent via UPS Ground shipping (2-6 day) with tracking. You will receive an email with your package's tracking number so that you may track it. UPS provides insurance for the first $100 of an order. If your order cost is higher, we will automatically insure it for the total. There is an extra charge when we do this, but it is minimal.

PROCESSING TIME

We strive to ship in-stock items within two Business Days after we receive your order. (This does not include custom-made items, like tutus and other costumes, which require a lead time and are shipped when completed. Also, orders which include fabric-cuts or custom-dying may require an additional time, but we will always let you know how long it will take.) All orders are shipped FOB Charlotte, NC USA.

INTERNATIONAL

For destinations outside the United States, delivery times are dependent on your destination country and on your local postal and customs services. Customs delays are not the responsibility of Tutu.Com. Our shipping rates do not include any customs charges that may be imposed by your country's customs regulations.
