[ Status Update June 30, 2020 ]

Most of our latest elastic orders have arrived - all EXCEPT the 1/8” flat that many of you are waiting for. All the other backorders have shipped - the 1/8” and 1/16” cord elastics, 1/4”, 3/8”, and 1/2” flat elastics, and the buttonhole elastic! Anyone with backorders for 1/8” flat elastic who would like to change to one of the others, the 1/4” flat and the 1/16” cord elastics work great for masks, too, as does the fold over elastic. [ Status Update June 1, 2020 ]

Another case of white 1/4” elastic arrived and will cover all the rest of April 1/4” orders, and those who changed from 1/8” to 1/4”! We will start shipping this afternoon. We also got in a case of fold-over elastic - our personal favorite for masks ( and leotards!). It is soft and finishes the edges of the mask quickly and can be easily used as loops around the ears OR around the head ( most comfortable!). Watch for a video mid-week as to how to use it!). It also comes in ivory, turquoise, pink, aqua, and purple -all in stock. Red arriving soon. Once all current backorders are filled, I will contact those on the waiting list, then put the rest in inventory on the website by tomorrow. [ Status Update May 21, 2020 ]

Elastic Update: We are still filling the 1/4” white elastic orders and will probably get through all of them tomorrow - finally! If you have 1/8” on order and have not gotten a shipment notification as of today, then your order did not get covered by what came in last week. We still have around 20-30 orders for 1/8” from late March/early April. Anyone who ordered 1/8” elastic, either cord style or flat, and would like to change to 1/4” flat style, email claudia@tutu.com and we will send it out right away. It will be another 2-3 weeks before we get the next order of 1/8”.

[ Status Update May 13, 2020 ]

Elastic Update!  Several thousand yards each of 1/4” white and 1/8” white flat elastic have shipped and tracking says will arrive TOMORROW, May 14th!  We will fill the orders in the order placed first, then if there is any left, we will start on the list of people who have asked to be notified when it is available.  First, I will be checking with those who ordered beige to see if they want to change to white since they are among the ones patiently waiting the longest. To expedite matters, please email claudia@tutu.com if you ordered beige and want to change to white.  

3/8-inch elastic is not in this order.  That is the one that we are in desperate need of to finish some tutu orders!  Very frustrating, but we just need to be patient.

[ Status Update May 1, 2020 ]

Next to arrive, according to the manufacturer, will be white 1/8” and 1/4” flat braided. I will update when I get the tracking on it.

[ Status Update April 29, 2020 ]

We got the tracking on the 1/16th" white cord elastic. It will arrive Friday. Anyone waiting for flat elastic who would like to change, please email me at claudia@tutu.com and let me know. Lots of people tell me that it is more comfortable than the wider elastics. I have put 1500 yards of it up on the website just now, for anyone looking for this type. I have plenty coming - enough to fill the backorders for 1/16th" and lots of extra. The 1/4" and 1/8" will be next. I will let you know when I get tracking.

General Update: We are still taking orders and shipping everything.

Elastic Update: We are waiting for our next order to arrive of 1/8” and 1/4” flat elastic, and 1/16” and 1/8” cord elastic. We expect an order any day now. Please continue to be patient.

[ Status Update April 20, 2020 ]

Elastic Update - I have a call into my contact at the mfg and will know more later today, but do expect more to arrive this week. We will fill orders already placed before I will open up stock on the website again. I am, however, taking a waiting list for elastic orders. If you want to get on the list, email claudia@tutu.com, sending name, email address, AND your phone number and mailing address. I will send an invoice with a link for payment once your elastic is available. We will hold for payment 24 hours. Once paid, we will ship. We ARE still shipping fabrics and everything else, too! 

[ Status Update April 16, 2020 ]

Another box of elastic arrived. A small box. 864 yards of 1/8” white flat elastic (not nearly enough to cover all the backorders), and 1728 yards of pink and peach 1/16” cord elastic. I spoke with my manufacturer and they are trying to catch up with all the need(want) for white elastic. You have to decide which is more important-matching elastic to fabric, or getting some masks done for those who need them. They told me some black is coming now - anyone waiting for 1/8-inch want to switch to black? Email Claudia@tutu.com if you don’t care whether black or white. We will finish getting out the 1/4” white elastic we have tomorrow. There will still be a few people who will be waiting for 1/4” white - the 4000 yards that came in covers most 1/4” orders, but not all. More is coming and we will continue to get it out as it arrives. We also got another couple thousand yards of 1/4” twill tape in white for those making masks straps out of it.

Please - be patient! The whole world is running slower now and there is simply nothing anyone can do about it.

[ Status Update April 15, 2020 ]

One box of elastic showed up today - the 1/4-inch White! The other box, with 1/16 and 1/8 -inch tracks as “out for delivery,” but was not on the truck that delivered the 1/4-inch. I will call UPS if it doesn’t come by tomorrow. Thanks so much for your patience! I will process the 1/4-inch orders TODAY the update the 1/4-inch inventory online tonight!

Finally! Some great news!! Elastic is almost here! 1/16. 1/8, 1/4!!Tracking says tomorrow, but UPS has been a bit slow so I’m guessing Wednesday to be sure. Most IS coming! Some who ordered beige 1/4” will need to switch to white or black, or keep waiting. LMK at claudia@tutu.com. Also 1/16” cord elastic people - White is coming in the order! Black is not. However, there is also pink, peach and light blue 1/16” cord elastic coming, if you want some color. I will fill orders as fast as I can - definitely MUCH faster than the wait has been! Latest elastic update...Nope, it did not arrive today. However....1000 yards of 3/8-inch white twill tape did and a lot of you have switched to twill tape, since it makes fast and easy ties. [ Status Update April 1, 2020 - 4:00PM ]

Elastic Update: We are still waiting for the order of 1/16th, 1/8th, and 1/4th-inch elastic due mid-week this week.

I called the MFG and was told it is sitting on their loading dock, just waiting to be picked up, however all the shipping services, including UPS, Fed Ex and the mail are running slower than usual. I am VERY aware that EVERYONE is making masks and that it is important. The MFG is also aware. The new reality we are all living through demands more patience than any of us want to have to exercise.

If you can find what you need elsewhere quicker - no worries! Just let me know and I will cancel and refund immediately.
